The study examines the category of degrees of comparison in Bulgarian and Modern Greek. The dominant linguistic views on the category of degrees of comparison have been presented and discussed. A major difference between Bulgarian and Modern Greek has been pointed out, namely the fact that the forms of the superlative degree in Modern Greek may coincide with the forms of the comparative degree, whereas such a phenomenon is not present in Bulgarian.en_US
