The category Nomina agentis, differentiated in the word formation system of the Turkish and Bulgarian languages, is an important sociolinguistic category with a strong anthropocentric nature. The structural core of the derivational and semantic category of agentivity is formed by the semantic models of “a person who performs an action named in the derivational base”. In both Turkish and Bulgarian, there are various word formation models with agent semantics, which serve for the formation of derivational nouns, which characterize the performer of the action both in terms of his/her professional affiliation and of his/her qualitative characteristics (character traits, inclinations). A significant number of these models are associated with various human shortcomings and form a large thematic group with negative expressive and evaluation characteristics.en_US
