This paper aims to show the connection between sin and alienation from&#13;
existence by analysing two novels: “Zmey” (“Dragon”) by Anton Strashimirov&#13;
and “Gryah” (“Sin”) by Georgi Raychev. Some of the main characters of the&#13;
novels are defined as “foreigners in the existence” – each of them in a different&#13;
way. Many citations from the two texts make an effort to prove this statement.&#13;
Sin is explained as a reason for some kinds of alienation from existence.

The similarities and differences in the artistic and aesthetic pursuits of&#13;
AtanasDalchev and DimitarPanteleev have not been objects of exploration in the&#13;
literary field. The publishing of their collection ‘Most’ (Bridge) in 1923 and&#13;
later of their joint article ‘Martvapoezia’ (Dead poetry) in 1925 lays ground for a&#13;
comparative study of the respective debut collections of the two authors, namely&#13;
‘Strelets’ (Gunslinger) in 1924, and ‘Prozorets’ (Window) in 1926,in&#13;
comparison to the works published earlier in ‘Most’. The study’s goal is to&#13;
determine whether the similarities in the aesthetic attitudes of the two poets are&#13;
realised in their debut poetic projects.

A lot has been written about Pencho Slaveykov and his works in which&#13;
“my father in me“, the generational conflict between “the old generation“ and&#13;
“the young generation“ and Prometheus’ image have an essential place. Those&#13;
are three concepts which in the following paper will be analysed through Gaston&#13;
Bachelard’s idea about The Prometheus complex. This is a way to represent a&#13;
new point of view on those concepts and their meaning. Pencho Slaveykov’s&#13;
Prometheus complex has two extents. Each one has its own features and&#13;
displays itself in different ways in his works.

<summary type="text">ANALYSIS OF TWO BULGARIAN TRANSLATIONS OF THE POEM “DON QUIXOTE“ BY DMITRY MEREZHKOVSKY

This article makes an overview of two Bulgarian translations of the poem&#13;
“Don Quixote” by the Russian symbolist poet, writer, translator and critic&#13;
Dmitry Merezhkovsky. The poem written in 1887 is a vivid example of the&#13;
artistic and creative reception of Cervantes' novel in Russia. Its Bulgarian&#13;
versions reveal the assimilation of the image of Don Quixote in Bulgarian&#13;
literature by means of translation. The first translation is from the beginning of&#13;
the XX century and belongs to Dimitar Podvarzachov, and the second is from&#13;
the beginning of the XXI century and is a creation of Petar Velchev.&#13;
In the article is made an attempt for a comparative analysis of the two Bulgarian&#13;
translations – it is traced to what extent the original form, metrics, rhymes and&#13;
inversions are preserved; as well as whether the ideological and figurative&#13;
influence of the Russian poem is comparable to that of its Bulgarian versions.
